Greater Works Detroit

Greater Works services include worship music and a message. The music is led by a worship leader featuring contemporary and traditional music. The spoken word messages are always focused on addressing real issues that real people face in their daily lives by applying the word of God. You can expect to be both encouraged and challenged by Pastor Eric Lee Brown or one of our GWM elders and ministers.

Our Sunday service lasts for approximately 90 minutes. You will find a friendly environment where everyone is welcomed.

Plan on arriving to church at least 10 minutes before the service starts. (10:00 a.m. or 11:00 am services) before service begins (Kingdom Kids Training Classes are at 10am). Then you'll want to make sure you get into the sanctuary before prayer and the music starts.

What to Expect?

Greater Works Ministry has a pretty diverse group of people attending. You can come as you are. Suits or dresses, collar and slacks, or t-shirt and jeans. We encourage you to dress comfortable while honoring God.

You may park on the street closest to the building, across the street, or the small lot near the building.

Greater Works Ministry is a family-friendly environment. We believe that children are a blessing from God and should be taught about God and his plan for the world in a fun learning environment. We offer Kingdom Kids Training Classes at 10:00am every Sunday.

We would love for you to come and invite your friends. We do our best to be a warm and welcoming environment for people who are curious about Christianity or who are looking to belong to a community of Christ-followers.

What We Believe

About the Scripture

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is God inspired and is without error.

About God

We believe that there is only one God eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. (Ephesians 4:5-6, Gen. 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17).

About Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. Salvation comes through faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sin's payment

About the Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith Christ's finished work. The church's purpose is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the world.

About Baptism

We believe in water baptism, in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe baptism is available to believers.

About Jesus' Return

We believe in the Christian's hope - the soon coming, and personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. His return will be for a victorious church living in obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, conformed to the image of Christ.

Dr. Eric Lee Brown and his wife, Elder Kristin Brown are the founders and pastors of Greater Works Detroit located in the heart of the city. Eric and his wife Kristin were married in 2015. Their goal is for you to experience the live-giving message of the gospel and to plant leaders in every city, state, and nation to advance the kingdom of God.

You will find the teaching and preaching ministry of Pastor Brown easy to understand and apply to your every day life.
